THERE IS NOTHING LIKE UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA – NDLEA BOSS

The commander National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Anambra State Command, Sir Sule Momodu has explained that by the virtue of the abundant mineral resources and fertile land mass in Nigeria no citizen should be found idle and unemployed.

The commander while stating this when a group under the auspices of Anambra Online Publishers (AOP) paid him a courtesy visit at his office, explained that Nigerians especially the youths had all they need to get employed and engaged themselves positively

He explained that if families in Nigeria embraced farming and other forms of agriculture as practiced in the past, unemployment would not only reduce to its barest minimum but will go along way to improve the nations economy hence the attenuation of the governments over independence on crude oil to run its programs

He further hinted that if the potentials in the agricultural sector where tapped into, the numerous youths who indulge in drug abuse and trafficking would be reduced as they will be positively engaged

His words “there is nothing like unemployment its just that we are lazy and always expecting manner to fall from heaven for us, hoping that we will someday suddenly meet riches without working hard for it.
The only short cut to wealth is hard work; one of the best professions that pay very well is farming”.

“Nigeria is blessed with good soil to cultivate all sort of crop its just laziness that will make one chose to stay idle in the name of looking for government or office, work this idleness leads to so many ill things. Drug trafficking and drugs abuse will be a thing of the past if we are all engaged because if you are engaged no hard drug dealer will meet you and ask you to smuggle drugs for him or her”

On the effort the command was making to eliminate drug trafficking in the state Mr Momodu revealed that Obosi Town in Idemili North local government area was the major habitant of hard drug dealers in the state and confirmed the readiness of the agency to get rid of all the drug kingpins in the area

He assured that soon Anambra will be a better place to live and invest in as drug abuse and trafficking will to a reasonable extend be abated in the state.

He however thanked the group Anambra Online Publishers (AOP) for the visit and exhorted them to courageously carry out their publishing profession especially while tacking sensitive issues as the development of Nigeria was somewise dependent on how effectively they carried out their duties.
