Over 2,200 Batch A corps members posted to Anambra state in 2015 have
completed their three-week Orientation Course at the NYSC Orientation
Camp, Umunya in Oyi council area of the state.

Declaring the Orientation Course closed yesterday, Governor Willie
Obiano urged the corps members to maximise their opportunities in
their various places of primary assignments and contribute to the
growth and progress of the state and Nigeria at large.

He assured them of safety and peace from the accommodating people of
the state so as to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of their host
communities.

The governor described the service year as a year of passing from life
of youthful exuberance to life of meaning and responsibility as well
as a tool for national integration which opens the door of Nigeria's
cultural diversities to her young graduates.

Obiano who was the Best Corps member of 1979/80 service year in Benue
State, charged them to engage themselves in the services that would
equip them to face the reality of life after their service year.

The number one corps member thanked the camp officials for training
the corps members well and commended the corps members for displaying
wonderful parade at the event.

Our correspondent reports that some corps members at the
event expressed their willingness to contribute to the development of
Anambra state
