"We do not have or know any other county except Nigeria as such we cannot afford to break up but remain in unity which is where our strength lies. Ohanaeze was fully aware that the neglect or the decay being suffered in the south east ,south -south was not the making of president Buhari as it has being in abject decay since 1979 but are calling on him to extend the change broom to the areas for sincere total good governance" he said
He said that time was most appropriate now for the president to show that he is for everybody and no one in particular by initiating quick resolve to the decay seen in the infrastructural projects across the south east ,south -south geopolitical zones of Nigeria .
Elumunoh said that the state of roads in the region was heart breaking adding that there is no geo-political zones in Nigeria that has and is still suffering what the south east and south -south is passing through on daily basis respect to decay in roads infrastructure.

He said that the ohanaeze parent body disassociates self from the protest as "no right thinking person would support violence especially those who witnessed the civil war will not stop at anything in condemning the actions.
"Yes as youth they have right to feel they way they are feeling and right to peaceful protest, to drive home their wants but must not be done in unruly manner .
"Igbos are peace loving people and must stop at nothing in ensuring that the youth do not go the wrong way they should not be confrontational but should always employ dialogue in sending across the bitterness to the government as violence has never solved any problem rather it worsen it.
He said that it was clear that part of the reason for the agitation was the dearth of infrastructure in Igbo land and pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to address the infrastructural decay in the area.
He also said that rehabilitating the federal roads that have become death traps due to neglect, would help to correct the imbalances and alleged marginalization being suffered by the people of the area as well as give hope to the youths and solve the youth restiveness .
He also appealed to the Federal government to release the 29 Million naira owed Anambra government which was used in rehabilitating the federals roads in the state so as the state government can function well.
Speaking on the state of the state he urged the former governor Mr Peter Obi and Governor Willie Obiano to resolve their differences knowing what they both mean to Igbo people and do not ridicule the state.
He said that the two are great personality in their different coin as such should carry on in their bids to make the state greater.
He also said that the group had written the striking judicial officers, state government and union leaders on allowing the body to intervene in the lingering crisis for the good of all to avoid bringing state back to old days of insecurity as police have limited time constitutionally to keep a suspect under its custody without trial at a competent court of law
