Tuesday's session at the on-going Akwa Ibom Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja recorded more dramatic moments as the Peoples Democratic Party punctured all tactics by Mr Umana Umana, Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress to assert that there was no election in Akwa Ibom State.

One of such interesting moments came during the cross examination of a PDP witness, Bishop Andrew Uwanta by the petitioner who insisted that there was no election in Etinan on April 11.
"I put it to you, Bishop, that you colluded with INEC to conduct what you regard as elections " Solomon Umoh SAN thundered as he made several attempts to get an incriminating response from the witness.
Uwanta, who had introduced himself as a businessman, politician and cleric responded in a rather dramatic manner, " My Lord, I don't know what he is talking about. I have never conducted elections in my life. I did not collude with INEC to manipulate results on election day".
Not satisfied by the witness' answer and left without any Exhibit to draw questions from , the petitioner's lawyer threw another straight punch, " I put it to you, witness, that there was no election in Etinan, that those figures were filled in by you and INEC"
"My lord, this man was not in my unit on election day. There was election, people came out, were accredited and voted" Uwanta fired back
Uwanta further stressed he was the ward collation agent in Southern Iman Ward1 and that he was physically present, observed the collation and signed the results.
Uwanta said that that the Peoples Democratic Party had collation agents in all the 11 wards of the local government area.
Uwanta, a chieftain of the party and former vice chairman of the Etinan Local Government had earlier testified that he is from southern Iman ward one.
During cross examination, the Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance (ACA) boss further clarified to the tribunal that he knows Mr Ibanga Enoch Udofia, and that he was the ward collation agent for Etinan Urban ward 1. He said that when they were at the INEC collation office, the results for urban ward 2 & 5 came in late at about 10pm and he then asked Mr Enoch to supervise it since other agents of his party were not present.
When confronted whether his name was ticked during accreditation and voting, Uwanta replied that it was not his responsibility to ensure people's names were ticked but that of INEC.
Tribunal resumes Thursday, 10th September, 2015.
