Public Service Announcement
The Anambra State Government hereby informs Ndi
Anambra particularly residents of Awka, Onitsha and
Nnewi metropolis that the earlier challenge with
prompt evacuation of refuse in major streets and
roads in the State occasioned by filled up dump sites
has been resolved.
The State Government is happy that new dump sites
have been identified and cleared for proper dumping
of household and industrial refuse.
The State Government expresses deep appreciation
to Ndi Anambra for their patience, understanding
and unalloyed support and assures that the refuse in
some streets especially in residential and
commercial areas of the State would soon be
completely cleared. Already, the Ministry of
Environment and Anambra State Waste Management
Agency (ASWAMA) are currently busy clearing refuse
in all the major cities in the State.
The State Government by this announcement
reiterates its resolve to ensure a clean and healthy
environment that would perfectly depict Anambra
State as the light of the nation.
