There was an uneasy calm in commissioners quarters, Anambra state
as a team of policemen led by the commissioner of police evacuated four dead bodies from a room in Awka.
The bodies which was discovered dead in a storey building at No.9 Olisa Onyeka Crescent, Commissioner's quarters, Ifite Awka, Anambra state comprised of four ladies.
The commissioner of police Mr Hosea Karma who moved into the building with an ambulance and some morticians in the wee hours of tuesday, on arrival, broke into the room to discover the dead and already decomposing bodies.
Investigation revealed that the ladies had died four days before their bodies was discovered and no form of wound or injury was found on them.
The occupant of the room Mrs Chinwe Obi who is a staff of Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission ANSIEC is among the four bodies found in the room.

The owner of the building Mrs Ify Onyebumuo while speaking with Christian Outlook revealed that one of her tenants called her on phone and informed her about the incident complaining that some sort of strange water was dripping out of the deceased room and all efforts to connect her on phone was fruitless.
She added that the tenant complained of not seeing the decease for several days and also of an awful smell emanating from the deceased room area.
The landlady also noted that Late Chinwe had been her tenant for almost 11 months.
The Caretaker of the building, Mr Machie Ignatius while filing questions from our reporter said one of the tenant of the building reached him on phone informing him of the development, which prompted him to abandon all he was doing to report at the scene. He said the tenant had revealed to him that he suspected someone had died in one of the rooms.
The caretaker also disclosed that the occupant of the room was married to a business man based in cotonou who died in the room on friday, 5 days before the wife and three other ladies whose identities are yet to be ascertained were reportedly found dead in the same room.
The Commission of Police Mr H.H. Karma while reacting to the incident said that some tenant made some complaint to the police that they perceived grotty smells from one of the rooms in the building and had suspected that the occupant of the room had died inside.
The police boss also revealed that the other three ladies who was found dead along side the occupant of the room Chinwe Obi were her church members who came to sympathize with her over the dead of her husband.
On the cause of the death Mr Karma said that the police discovered a generator set, a pot of soup so their death could either be cause by food poisoning or carbon monoxide from the fumes of the generator set. He however assured that thorough investigation was going to be carried out in other to ascertain the cause of the deaths.
